Blind Music Teacher

About the project

While travelling to Gilgit for another project, we met two blind music teachers at a school. Their talent and personal journeys immediately drew us in, and we felt their story deserved to be shared alongside the beauty of the place they called home.

We filmed in under five hours and completed the edit in under four. This unexpected encounter became a documentary that won second place in Dawn.com and Deutsche Welle Urdu’s 2022 national documentary competition, “It Happens Only in Pakistan.”
