About the project

This documentary explores how Chinese employees living in Islamabad stay connected to home through food, celebration, and shared traditions. At its heart is a familiar human experience: finding belonging while living far from the people and places you know.

Working alongside the client, director, and cinematographer across four days of editing, I shaped the edit and sound design around those connections. Every cut, pause, and sound needed to preserve the warmth of the people sharing their stories.
