About the project

This film explores the economic contribution of women whose work keeps households running, yet often goes unrecognised. Through cooking, cleaning, and caring for their families, they contribute every day in ways that rarely receive a financial value.

We built the narrative across low-income, middle-class, and upper-class households. Each setting brought a different lived experience, while the recurring responsibilities connected the stories. Our aim was to give familiar, often overlooked work the attention and appreciation it deserves.
